The coaches at the Speeders Track Club have a passion for sprinting, as both are former collegiate track athletes. They also have deep experience coaching sprints and working with athletes across ages and skill levels.
Brendon Kensel
Head Track Coach
Brendon founded the Speeders Track Club in 2014 to give back to a sport that was good to him and to build a community of youth sprinters.
As a young athlete, coaches developed Brendon’s athletic skills, however, the best coaches also encouraged character development. Sports gave him a sense of working with and belonging to a team, and the time and effort involved to achieve improvement played a crucial role in the development of his professional work ethic.
Out of a desire to give back to the sport that contributed so much to his development, Brendon founded the Speeders Track Club, with his elementary-age son and a few of his son’s classmates. The team has since expanded to include athletes across grade levels. Brendon is a certified USA Track & Field Level 1 coach. When not coaching, he is a CEO at a fintech start-up.
Brendon participated in track at Central Washington University and ran the 400m and the 4x400m relay. He received a B.S. from Central Washington University and a M.B.A. from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.
